ATB Manager

Location: Maryland

This is a full-time position to manage the “Implementing an ATB program at UMGC” grant from MHEC NSPII program. The grant will operate from July 1st, 2022, through June 30th, 2026. The manager will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of project management, monitoring, evaluation, ATB university partner collaboration, reporting and dissemination. This position may require occasional travel within the state of Maryland.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Work collaboratively with community college nursing program partners in order to form partnerships and facilitate the development of curriculum plans and MOU's with the UMGC ATB program. Provide direction and oversight of the implementation of the ATB program

  • Collaborate with departments at UMGC such as admissions, advising, financial aid, registrar's office, nursing program director, and others to lead the development and monitor policies and procedures for the effective implementation of the ATB program.

  • Monitor student enrollment and progress in the ATB program. Work collaboratively all communities of interest to meet ongoing reporting requirements and ensure the smooth running of the program

  • Serve as ATB contact for the NSPII program and respond to all communications regarding the ATB program. Represent the university at meetings and recruiting events. Seek out opportunities to promote awareness of the ATB program

  • Develop orientation plans, student policies and procedures manual for the ATB program, student evaluation tools and review ATB program evaluation by students. Make recommendations regarding curriculum changes as needed

  • Prepare grant reports, including narratives and budgets with input from UMGC department representatives. Provide guidance in the development of marketing materials

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience: 

  • Master's Degree in Nursing; preferred concentration in Nursing Education or Nursing Administration

  • Active unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland

  • 3 to 5 years of work experience

  • 3 years of experience in grant administration, budget management, monitoring and evaluation, team facilitation, data collection and reporting

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work as a member of team

  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments within the university

  • Engage in effective communication with external partners

  • Able to lead others in the achieving project goals and meeting deadlines

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
