Location: College Park, MD, Dorsey, MD or La Plata, MD
University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach in the Graduate Business Administration Program. Specifically, we are seeking faculty for the following course:
MBA 610: Leading Organizations and People: Prerequisite: PRO 600. Assess and develop your leadership skills by creating a personal leadership and professional development plan that you will refine during the program. Develop a strategic understanding of your organization by analyzing its mission, vision, goals, and values. Evaluate your organization's culture, climate, and approach to decision making and assess leadership effectiveness, governance structure, and processes. Explore how high-performing work teams can be a source of competitive advantage.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- A terminal degree (i.e. PhD, JD, DBA) in business or a related field is required from an accredited institution of higher learning
- Professional management experience
- This position is specifically to teach in College Park, MD, Dorsey, MD, or La Plata, MD

The Adjunct Faculty Role at UMGC

- Actively engage students through frequent interaction and convey genuine energy and enthusiasm that motivates students to succeed.
- Provide rich and regular constructive feedback, utilize rubrics effectively for the assessment of student work, and encourage and acknowledge student accomplishments.
- Demonstrate relevant and current subject-matter expertise, and help students connect concepts across their academic program.
- Work collaboratively with the MBA Program Chair on course management and content updates.
