Marketing Coordinator

Location: Hybrid in Adelphi, MD

University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks a Marketing Coordinator in the Office of Creative Strategy. The Marketing Coordinator will assist the creative strategy team in the execution of marketing materials related to paid media assets (i.e., TV, radio, print, out-of-home, digital and social media, etc.). This role will support the team in developing campaign presentations, reports and helping to manage timelines and priorities, leveraging the project management software and aid in trafficking of media creative assets. 


  • Assists in the development and execution of marketing materials including, but not limited to TV, radio, print, out-of-home, digital and social media, ensuring the overall satisfaction of stakeholder and university objectives.
  • Creates and maintains internal and external stakeholder reports, presentations, archives, and other administrative duties as directed.
  • Employ project management software, Workfront, to request, track, and manage timelines and projects from start to completion. Act as internal liaison and develop reporting process to assist in prioritizing projects, communicating timelines and trafficking.
  • Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with university stakeholders, external and internal agencies and creative teams, and internal production staff, to ensure the highest level of support, service quality, clear communication, and strategic direction. 
  • Contribute to biweekly meetings with key stakeholders to track and document progress of projects and tactical plans across teams.
  • Aid in the development and coordination of organic social content. And other job duties as assigned.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned


  • Minimum 1-3 years of marketing experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, advertising or related field.
  • Understanding of creative production process and have the ability to multi-task. Strong communication and time management skills. 


  • Advertising/Marketing Agency experience preferred. Workfront, Sprout Social and Canva experience, a plus.
