Account Compliance Specialist

Location: Remote

The Account Compliance Specialist is responsible for regular audits of partnership students to identify receipt of multiple discounts and/or scholarships, development and implementation of an employment reverification policy, regular audits of student employment verification attestations, and review of email templates and marketing materials to ensure compliance with executed contracts and the policies of UMGC and various regulating agencies.

Primary Duties:

  • In partnership with other UMGC departments, conducts regular audits of partnerships student to identify receipt of multiple discounts and/or scholarships and adjust student groups as needed.
  • Develops and implements processes to request, collect, and process documents to reverify employment of students who previously submitted verification documentation; and regularly audit employment verification documentation by students to include reviewing documents, requesting additional information for students, and adjusting student groups as needed.
  • Conducts thorough reviews of CLS student-facing email templates, marketing materials, and departmental documents and job aids, to ensure compliance with executed contracts and policies.
  • Supports the CLS Account operations team with student employment verification, escalations, and special projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

  • 4-year college degree
  • Years: 1 to 3 years or experience


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Familiarity with creating, maintaining, and analyzing data and spreadsheets; experience with CRM, SIS, and DMS systems; proficient in Microsoft Office; demonstrated ability and interest in managing and paying attention to details; self-motivated with good time-management skills; ability to represent UMGC with internal, corporate, and government organizations and students.

Hiring Range:

$60,000.00 - $65,000.00
