Manager, Marketing Creative Operations

Location: Hybrid - Adelphi, Maryland (In-Office At Minimum Once a Week)

University of Maryland University College (UMGC) is seeking a Manager, Marketing Creative Operations reporting to the Director, Marketing Creative Operations. The Project Manager ensures offline and digital projects are on schedule and produced with efficiency. The Project Manager, Marketing Creative Operations manages the production of multiple projects by defining scope of work, assessing tasks, and trafficking projects through the creative process, to ensure projects have the proper resources available and deliverables meet high quality expectations. The Project Manager also provides tactical support, including facilitating team and stakeholder communication, and problem solves at various stages of project development, in support of the strategic functions of a senior manager's role.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Has a solid understanding of production requirements for a wide range of marketing creative including print and digital ads, email, collateral, and web.

  • Employs project management best practices with 2+ years of experience managing competing tasks and workflows and collaborating with people in distinct roles.

  • Manage projects within our workflow/project management tool, Workfront.

  • Prioritizes and manages the intake of marketing project requests in collaboration with the senior project management team.

  • Schedules and assigns projects; allocates the proper resources to support the project's needs.

  • Schedules kick-off meetings and update meeting recaps.

  • Manage and facilitate multiple projects simultaneously in a high-volume demanding environment.

  • Partners closely with other members of the project management team and support as needed.

  • Manages stakeholder relationships and expectations across UMGC departments.

  • Monitors project timelines, budgets, and scope to ensure projects deliver the stated scope on time and produced with efficiency.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a ​Bachelor's Degree.

  • Minimum 4 years of traffic/project management experience within a creative/marketing department or agency.

  • Understanding of design and production processes.

  • Experience with Workfront or other workflow/project management tool strongly preferred.

  • Experience / working knowledge with Microsoft Office applications.

Hiring Range:

$70,000.00 - $75,000.00
