Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner, Marketing Cloud to serve as the primary bridge between stakeholders and the technical development team, ensuring Marketing Cloud solutions meet business needs and drive engagement across customer segments. This role requires a balance of strategic planning, hands-on management of the product backlog, and leadership in advancing customer engagement initiatives. The individual will bring expertise in Marketing Cloud capabilities, deliver thought leadership, and contribute to building and executing the product roadmap.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Product Ownership (50%)

  • Act as the voice of the customer, defining and prioritizing user stories in the product backlog.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align business needs with technical feasibility.

  • Create and maintain detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Manage sprints and releases, ensuring timely delivery of product increments.

  • Evaluate Marketing Cloud tools and features to optimize performance and scalability.

Customer Engagement (25%)

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to understand pain points and drive engagement strategies.

  • Develop tailored solutions to address marketing and communication needs for various user groups.

  • Leverage analytics to measure and enhance customer engagement and satisfaction through Marketing Cloud tools.

Thought Leadership (25%)

  • Provide expertise in Marketing Cloud best practices and industry trends.

  • Contribute to the creation of the product roadmap, incorporating strategic business objectives and user feedback.

  • Lead workshops and training sessions to advocate for Marketing Cloud capabilities and adoption.

  • Develop and socialize innovation initiatives that enhance user experiences and streamline processes.

Skills:

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Expertise:

    • Comprehensive knowledge of Marketing Cloud features such as Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, and Audience Builder.

    • Understanding of integration points between Marketing Cloud and Salesforce CRM, including APIs and data models.

  • Customer Engagement Strategies:

    • Familiarity with customer segmentation, personalization techniques, and multi-channel engagement best practices.

    • Knowledge of industry trends in digital marketing and marketing automation.

  • Agile Frameworks and Processes:

    • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or SAFe, to manage backlogs and sprints.

  • Data Analytics & Reporting:

    • Proficient in leveraging analytics tools to measure campaign effectiveness and refine strategies based on data insights.

    • Understanding of A/B testing, ROI calculation, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing initiatives.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in configuring and managing Salesforce Marketing Cloud components.

    • Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email customization and AMPscript or SQL for advanced personalization.

  • Strategic Thinking:

    • Ability to align product development with broader organizational goals and long-term marketing strategies.

    • Skilled at balancing user needs, technical feasibility, and business priorities.

  • Project Management:

    • Ability to provide architectural guidance, make key technical decisions, and ensure solutions meet both technical requirements and business objectives.

    • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

    • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and facilitating collaboration across departments.

  • Communication:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

    • Skilled at presenting data and recommendations to executives and decision-makers.

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: 

    • Ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering a positive, high-performance culture and ensuring alignment with best practices.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in product ownership, marketing technology, or CRM systems.

  • Marketing Cloud: Demonstrated expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions, including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Audience Builder.

  • Salesforce or Marketing Cloud Certifications: Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist (required). Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Consultant or equivalent (preferred).

  • PM/Agile Certifications: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification (preferred).

  • Project Management: Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, ADO) and experience in planning and managing large, complex releases.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues quickly and efficiently during the release cycle

Hiring Range:

$132,000.00 - $142,200.00
