Summary:

The Senior IT Program Manager, has strong IT target discipline (i.e., IT infrastructure, Support Operations, Security Ops & Risk & Compliance) knowledge and collaborates and strategizes with leaders across corporate and customer teams to implement high-level target IT discipline initiatives. As a member of the IT Operations Leadership Team, they share responsibility for the success of the IT Operations team, vendors, and our customers. They are expected to analyze and make recommendations based on frequent trade-offs between business targets, projects, and operational performance. The main goal of this position is to drive positive change.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning

  • Advocates for and build a collaborative continuous service improvement culture.

  • Assesses program performance, constructs analytical models, prepares well-reasoned analyses, and evaluates business proposals, systems, and vendors.

  • Builds strong partnerships with business leaders to learn what is working and what is not.

  • Cultivates customer success by educating stakeholders in making informed and effective business decisions.

  • Defines and evolves the Infrastructure programs' scope and vision.

  • Develops operational objectives, KPIs, SLAs, and/or Metrics standards, and yearly planning.

  • Plans strategic initiative milestones, deliverables, resources, budget, and implementation.

  • Maintains the IT Operations roadmap, prepares presentations, and responds to executive inquiries.

  • Serves as a member of the IT Operations Leadership Team.

Operational Management

  • Drives the alignment of processes and initiatives throughout IT infrastructure.

  • Creates operational structure for planning, executing, reporting, monitoring and communicating regarding operational projects, programs, strategic initiative that integrates with enterprise and customer PMO systems.

  • Assured proper governance is in place via selected frameworks (e.g., CMMC, NIST, ITIL, etc.)

  • Identifies and manage program expectations, constraints, and demonstrates value. 

  • Leads teams in the design and implementation of optimized, best practice processes, documents key decision points, and ensures stakeholder engagement and communication.

  • Facilitates appropriate process documentation, automation, orchestration, reporting to facilitate operational maturity.

  • Monitors program performance and effectiveness, ensures the program adapts as needed.

  • Works closely with the IT Operations Directors, Vice President of IT & Security Operations, and Chief Executive Officer to draft, maintain, and share information and documentation.

Employee Supervision

  • Identifies key attributes and technical skills needed to recruit and/or promote qualified individuals.

  • Coaches program team employees and sets specific, measurable goals to assist with the employee's personal growth and professional development.

  • Addresses and/or works with leadership to address any incidents or issues involving the IT infrastructure project teams.

  • Raises any concerns/risks regarding the program teams' work capacity to senior management.

Skills:

  • Understanding of the organization's core software applications and ITSM systems.

  • Understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.

  • Understanding of project/program management techniques and methods.

  • Knowledge of MS Office and program/project management software (Project, Excel, Word, Visio).

Education & Experience Requirements:

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in project/program management with a demonstrated track record of delivering business value.

  • 7+ years of experience in IT-related analysis, audit, and/or compliance.

  • 5+ years of experience developing and facilitating training.

  • 5+ years of experience drafting policies, operating procedures, and process flows.

  • PMP/PgMP certification or a demonstrated history of successful project implementation experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience with IT infrastructure systems preferred.

  • Experience with programs, high-impact/large projects, and/or cross-team management.

Hiring Range:

$157,000.00 - $178,300.00
