As a Tech leader of the CRM platform team, the Senior Technical Architect, Salesforce drives the vision to create an industry leading, student and customer-centric technology experience. The team is looking for a forward thinking, action oriented individual to help drive the implementation and development of innovative, cutting-edge solutions.

This position supports development and implementation of a global higher education institution's CRM/Salesforce roadmap. This role has a key responsibility to ensure that the ideal customer experience is delivered to the customers. He/she/they must be a highly motivated, quality driven engineering architect for the team. This individual will consistently deliver solutions meeting the highest standards. While strategic thinking and coordination are important elements of this role, this individual will be required to take a very hands-on role with requirements, design, development, testing, deliverable preparation and other related activities across various digital platform teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The role will cover a broad variety of responsibilities such as technical and solution architecture design, development, prototyping; requires hands-on proficiency with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, etc.

  • Provide hands-on design leadership in large or complex development projects involving application development, migrations, integrations, enhancements to existing applications

  • Responsible for ensuring that the custom development solutions accurately meets the defined expectations of the business, ensuring that proper testing is implemented, and performance and security requirements are closely monitored by working with the project teams

  • Develop and author technical business solutions, technical architecture diagrams, product presentations, demonstrations, data flow diagrams and other documentation to review with business and technical stakeholders

  • Ability to grasp new business process and apply Salesforce platform technology to develop

  • Ensure the Salesforce.com technical design aligns to overall enterprise architecture and scales well

  • Collaborate with other technical teams, such as data management, security, student experience and integration, to ensure that Salesforce solutions integrate with other enterprise systems

  • Analyze cross-functional business processes, identify alternative solutions, assess feasibility, and recommend new approaches via Salesforce enablement

  • Help build reusable assets for use, work on Gap Analysis & Salesforce.com Road Map creation

  • Evaluate possible application performance bottle necks at early stages of the implementation & recommend remedial measures

  • Provide guidance and technical leadership and mentoring to a team of Salesforce administrators and developers to follow best practices and coding standards

Education & Experience Requirements:

Experience:

  • 10+ Years of hands-on experience in developing solutions using Salesforce platform

  • Experience with Salesforce products: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, EDA, Admissions Connect, Student Success Hub, Education Cloud, Omnistudio

  • Proven experience architecting and maintaining contact center, CTI or call centers with large data processing and constituent engagement and support

  • Strong experience in Salesforce implementation for full lifecycle enterprise software projects

  • Experience working with Force.com Apex Classes, Apex triggers, Batch Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visual Force (VF Pages), Integration (REST, SOAP, Change Data Capture, Platform Events), Force.com API, SOQL and SOSL

  • Experienced in Salesforce Data migrations with native tools such as Data Loader and 3rd party tools (MuleSoft, etc.)

  • Prior experience working as a Salesforce Technical Architect or similar capacity in an enterprise is required

Certifications:

  • Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Platform App Builder, Salesforce Platform Developer I, Salesforce Platform Developer II certifications required

Preferred Experience Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree

Experience:

  • Prior experience working in Higher Education, eCommerce, Non Profit preferred

  • Previous experience working at a Fortune 500 company preferred

Certifications:

  • Salesforce Identity and Access Management Architect, Salesforce Certified System Architect, Salesforce Certified Integration Architect, Salesforce Certified Data Architect highly desired

  • Salesforce Developer and other certifications strongly desired

Hiring Range:

$190,000.00 - $200,000.00
