Summary:

The Instructional Designer will be a team contributor responsible for creating engaging and effective learning experiences that meet the needs of a diverse audience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design principles, experience with online learning platforms and development tools, and a passion for creating high-quality learning experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Instructional Design: Apply instructional design theories, models, and best practices to develop interactive and engaging learning experiences.

  • Content Creation: Design and develop a variety of instructional materials, including online course content, presentations, videos, assessments, and job aids.

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy, functionality, and effectiveness of learning content against design and functional standards.

  • Consultation: Collaborate with partners in learning sciences, academics, and technology to implement enhanced learning solutions. 

  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met and project goals are achieved. 

  • Thought Leadership: Engage with cross-functional teams to implement learning design and accessibility best practices.

  • Communication: Leverage strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with customers and team members, gather feedback from stakeholders, and foster productive cross-team relationships.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and learning theories.

  • Expertise in digital and learning design accessibility best practices. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience working in a learning management system (LMS) in an elevated role, such as content developer or administrator. 

  • Experience working in a customer-facing role providing high quality customer service in a professional environment.

  • Passion for new technologies and education. 

Preferred Experience Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree

Certifications:

  • Certification in instructional design or related field

Hiring Range:

$64,000.00 - $74,100.00
