Associate Director, Enrollment Operations

The Associate Director, Enrollment Operations (ADEO) reports to the Assistant Vice President, Operations (AVPO). This position works closely with the AVPO to support daily operations, ensure process efficiency, and support key initiatives across the enrollment lifecycle. The ADEO will contribute to the enrollment strategy, student retention, and growth initiatives. This role will engage in strategic and global collaborations to enhance student experience.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Assist the AVPO in the creation and execution of operational plans for enrollment operations in alignment with university-wide goals.

  • Contribute to long-term planning and program growth through close coordination with the AVPO, providing operational insights, data analysis, and strategic input to support sustainable enrollment growth and institutional goal.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Student Services, Academic Affairs, CRM, Regional Leadership, Global Partners, etc...) to update or implement initiatives aimed at increasing student enrollment, engagement, and retention.

  • Provide updates to the AVPO on operational status across key functions (e.g., project initiatives, Bridge Program performance, unique student population focus, and operational escalations) and ensure timely execution of deliverables.

  • Design, enhance, and maintain communications, initiatives, workflows, processes, and policies to improve reporting, information flow, staff development, and organizational planning in support of UMGC's mission.

  • Resolve operational escalations and communicate issues to applicable stakeholders.

  • Coach, mentor, and evaluate direct reports.

  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

DIVISION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Some travel, including overnight trips, may be required based on organizational needs and priorities.

  • Oversee the UMGC Asia Bridge Program, coordinating with stakeholders on program scheduling, training, outreach initiatives, and operational planning (Asia)

  • Responsible for facilitating the student journey for Bridge through strengthened partnerships with prefectures and local government officials, TOEFL testing opportunities through partnership with the National Test Center Program Manager, and coordinated scheduling between the Bridge Program and the published annual schedule of classes (Asia).

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree from a U.S. regionally accredited institution or foreign degree equivalent 

  • Two (2) years of supervisory/management experience and work experience in a team environment 

  • Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, problem solving skills, and creative and solution-focused thinking 

  • Demonstrated ability of excellent analytical, administrative, and organizational skills 

  • Excellent written and oral communication 

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

  • Master's degree from a U.S. regionally accredited institution or foreign degree equivalent 

  • Experience with Student Information Systems (SIS), Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Products, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Hiring Range:

$60,000.00 - $65,000.00

Additional Compensation:

Employees receive the applicable currency adjustment (CAX) subject to monthly DoD COLA Index for the work location, which is subject to change and fluctuation based on market indices.
